| Merit Commission | The purpose of the Merit Commission is to guarantee all citizens a fair and equal opportunity for public service in the Office of the Sarpy County Sheriff, to establish conditions of service in the Sarpy County Sheriff's Office which will attract officers and employees of character and capacity, and to increase the efficiency of the Sarpy County Sheriff's Office by the establishment o fa merit system, pursuant to Nebraska Revised Statute §23-1721. |
| Planning Commission | The Sarpy County Planning Commission plays a crucial role in shaping the future of our community. The Planning Commission is made up of a body of citizens that serve within local government, acting as an advisory group to the municipal governing body on issues and policies related to planning, land use regulation and community development. Planning Commissioners act as citizen planners and work to develop plans and implementation policies that affect how their community manages changes in growth and development.
The Planning Commission generally meets at 7 P.M. on the third Tuesday of each month in the County Boardroom (Administration Building) located at 1210 Golden Gate Drive in Papillion. |

| Teen Court | Sarpy County Teen Court offers teenage offenders a second chance to learn from their mistakes without the high cost and stigma of a criminal record.
Teen Court is a real justice program. It gives juveniles who have committed a misdemeanor crime a chance to appear before a jury of their peers. Cases heard in Teen Court involve crimes such as theft, shoplifting, criminal mischief, trespassing, third degree assault, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and minor in possession of alcohol. |
