The Sarpy County Board of Commissioners has selected Angi Burmeister to lead the county as Board Chair for the second year in a row. Commissioner David Klug will serve as Vice Chair.
The Board voted Tuesday, Jan. 9, in support of the 2024 leadership team.
Burmeister, an attorney and Bellevue resident, has represented District 3 on the Board since 2019. She was the Board’s Vice Chair in 2022 before serving her first term as Board Chair last year.
“The board is committed to the county’s long-term success. Several key projects that are foundational to Sarpy’s growth came together last year, and I’m looking forward to working with the commissioners in 2024 to serve generations of residents who call Sarpy home,” Burmeister said.
Klug, who lives in La Vista and represents District 2, has been a member of the board since 2019. He previously served as Vice Chair in 2021.
"I'm excited to work alongside Angi and the board to deliver the essential, quality public services that our community enjoys,” Klug said. “We’re proud to keep taxpayers’ needs and dollars at the center of our decisions and will continue that tradition in 2024.”
