A State-of-the-Art Facility
The 150,000-square-foot correctional center includes a dedicated space for rehabilitative programming, a secure courtroom and a behavioral health unit. The correctional center will also house the state’s first forensic psychiatry fellowship to treat inmates with mental illness.
A groundbreaking ceremony in April 2021 kicked off construction of the state-of-the-art facility. The county transferred operations from the existing jail to the new correctional center in September.
