COVID-19 Information

The Sarpy/Cass Health Department is currently vaccinating people 16 years and older.

Any Sarpy or Cass County resident aged 16 years and older is eligible to receive a vaccine.

In Nebraska, the age of majority is 19 years of age.  Anyone under the age of 19 who wishes to receive a COVID-19 vaccine must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian at the time of the vaccination appointment.

Information about Pfizer vaccine eligibility:

Must be at least 16 years of age at the time of the vaccination appointment because of the emergency use authorization age requirement of the Pfizer vaccine. 

Information about Moderna and Johnson & Johnson vaccine eligibility:

Must be at least 18 years of age at the time of the vaccination appointment because of the emergency use authorization age requirement of the Moderna and Johnson & Johnson vaccines.

Veterans can get vaccinated through the Omaha VAMC

All Nebraska veterans, their spouses and their caregivers can now sign up to receive the COVID-19 vaccine through the Omaha VA Medical Center. They can also attend a walk-in clinic from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday, April 3 on the ground level of the new Ambulatory Care Center at the Omaha VAMC.

 How to sign up for an appointment to get a COVID-19 vaccine at the Omaha VAMC:

Visit this link: Sign up to get a vaccine | Veterans Affairs. After submitting an application, you will receive a text, email or phone call about your appointment time. If your application is denied, call the Omaha VAMC Eligibility Office at 402-995-4050.

Go to the Omaha VA Medical Center Eligibility Office at 4101 Woolworth Ave. in Omaha and complete an application form. You will then be scheduled for your vaccine. For questions, call the Eligibility Office at 402-995-4050.
