Biography

Angi L. Burmeister is the Sarpy County Commissioner from the 3rd District who was sworn in on January 29, 2019, to complete the remaining 2017 to 2020 term and then elected to serve the term ending in December of 2024. Burmeister was selected as Chair of the Board in 2023. 

Burmeister is an attorney and managing partner with Berkshire and Burmeister Law Offices. She has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from UNL and a Juris Doctorate from Creighton School of Law.

Burmeister is a long-time resident of Bellevue with her husband and has three young adult children.  

Community Service

Burmeister has served on a number of volunteer community boards including Girl Scouts Spirit of Nebraska, Fontenelle Forest and Avery Church.

Burmeister serves on the Eastern Nebraska Human Services Board and the Housing Foundation for Sarpy County. Mental health initiatives are a current priority for Burmeister.
